In The Queen, the Saint, the artist creates a silent field of observation around the figure of Our Lady of the Rosary. The saint appears in a moment of waiting, preceding the arrival of the congadeiros represented in the painting Going to Fetch Sá Rainha.
The composition is marked by an atmosphere of contemplation, almost suspended in time. Blue dominates the scene, constructing an environment of quietness and spirituality, as if the space were preparing for the encounter that is about to come.
