SP-Arte 2026: Group Exhibition

The proposal by Mitre Galeria for SP-Arte 2026 begins with a reflection on time and attention within the context of the fair. In a space marked by continuous circulation and an overlap of stimuli, the group of works presented asserts the importance of duration, sustained observation, and experience built over time.

The video program, featuring works by Aline Motta, davi de jesus do nascimento, Gê Viana, Juliana Matsumura, Manauara Clandestina, Marcus Deusdedit, and Rafael RG, introduces a specific temporality into the exhibition space. The moving image invites the audience to slow down, momentarily suspending the pace of the fair. These works develop narratives that traverse memory, body, and history, working with archives, presences, and processes of fabulation that question stabilized forms of visibility and belonging.

In dialogue with this core, works in painting, sculpture, and photography deepen issues related to materiality and the construction of the image. Surfaces, volumes, and framings condense experiences and organize distinct temporalities, demanding careful attention to the internal relations of each work and to the space they produce.
